Biography

Brett is a partner at Kelley, Wolter & Scott. His main practice areas include complex civil litigation, appellate law, white collar criminal defense, criminal defense, administrative law, and professional license defense. Minnesota Lawyer selected Brett as a 2017 Attorney of the Year, and an "Up and Coming" attorney in 2019.

Prior to joining the firm, Brett served as a law clerk at Hennepin County District Court and an extern at United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. Brett also clerked for the Hennepin County Attorney's Office during law school. Prior to law school, Brett spent ten years in the United States Army as an Infantry Officer and is a combat veteran of Afghanistan.
